Dr. Harlene Goldschmidt’s lifelong passion for mind/body health flows into her work as a psychologist, psychodynamic psychotherapist, teacher, supervisor, dancer, dance therapist, Medical Qi Gong therapist, Qi Gong teacher, and devote of Tai Chi.

Dr. Goldschmidt’s expertise is helping people overcome long standing emotional difficulties and cultivating inner peace. In therapy, individuals become more aware and masterful of their internal worlds. By blending psychodynamic psychotherapy with energy psychology, people have additional ways to heal and create fulfilling lives.

She has written on enhancing psychotherapy with Qi Gong for the National Register for Mental Health Professionals. Dr. Goldschmidt gives workshops nationally.

As a faculty member at the Center for Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis of New Jersey, Dr. Goldschmidt developed and teaches a course on neuroscience to advanced candidates. Dr. Goldschmidt is a certified Medical Qi Gong Therapist and teaches Level 1 Medical Qi Gong by Dr. T.K. Shih, OMD, Director of the Chinese Healing Arts Center in Danbury, CT.  She has trained healthcare professionals at Atlantic Health System and other clinical venues. Nurses, social workers, yoga instructors, massage therapists and physicians have received CE and CME credits taking Medical Qi Gong Certification Training.

For over 10 years Dr. Harlene Goldschmidt has served as Wellness Director for the New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble.  She teaches dancers psychological techniques and Qi Gong to optimize their training experiences and performances. Madeline began her career as a ballet dancer. As a graduate of New York University, she went on to direct dance and theater programs for various locations. Her passion for kinesthetic movement continued into Fitness, Yoga and Qi Gong. She currently combines her skills as an Integrative Medicine Practitioner for Atlantic Health System and is available for private sessions in Summit, NJ.

Therapeutic modalities include: Medical Qi Gong, Yoga, Jin Shin Jyutsu®, Healing Touch, Massage and Shamanism. Madeline is a certified Medical Qi Gong Therapist. She is authorized to teach Level 1 Qi Gong by Dr. T.K. Shih, OMD, Director of the Chinese Healing Arts Center in Danbury, CT. Recent Medical Qi Gong lecture series given at the 15th Annual Neuroscience Conference and Annual National Qi Gong Conference.
